Auschwitz
Photos of Auschwitz Memorial and museum of the former extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. The largest extermination and concentration camp was established by the Nazis in the year 1940 after the occupation of Poland during the Second World War. About 1.5 million people died in Auschwitz. In the beginning the camp was filled with people from Poland.
